Programme status: not live yet
The Verified Seller Programme is still pending a full design and build, and applications are not yet open. Everything on this page is a preview of how verification will work, so you can see what to expect and start gathering documents ahead of launch.
How it works
Verification has two layers. First, every applicant completes identity verification — confirming who you are. Then you add one or more category verifications, each with its own documentary requirements drawn from existing Caribbean regulation. You only verify the categories you actually sell in.
Verification carries a one-time fee per category, plus a renewal aligned to your licence cycle. A verified badge appears on your profile and listings in verified categories.
What verification means — and doesn't
Verified status confirms you presented the required identity and regulatory documents. It is not a guarantee of your goods, and buyers should still carry out their own checks. Verified Sellers sign a separate seller agreement.
Step 1 — Identity verification (everyone)
Identity requirements All applicants
- Government-issued photo ID (national ID, passport, or driver's licence)
- Proof of address or farm/business location
- A live selfie matching your ID
- Business registration documents, if you sell as a business
Step 2 — Category verification
Agricultural machinery & equipment First to launch
- Proof of ownership for the equipment class you sell (bills of sale, import documents)
- Serial numbers verifiable against your paperwork
- Dealer registration, if you trade as a dealer (e.g. RADA registration in Jamaica)
Live animals & livestock Coming next
- Farmer/premises registration with your agricultural authority
- Animal traceability enrolment where required (e.g. NAITS for cattle in Jamaica)
- Movement permits for the species you trade, where applicable
- Veterinary health documentation appropriate to the species
Meat & animal products Coming later
- Butcher's licence or equivalent food-business licensing
- Evidence of slaughter at an approved/inspected facility
- Public health / food safety certification for your premises
Exact requirements differ between Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago; we'll confirm your country's checklist when you apply. Documents are reviewed by our verification team, stored securely, and used only for verification — see our Privacy Policy.
