Run. Shoot. Survive. Upgrade.

This privacy policy explains how FiDo-5 ("the game", "the app", "we", "us") handles information when you play it. It covers both the Android app and the browser version at civildigital.co.uk/fido5. FiDo-5 is published by Civil Digital, based in the United Kingdom. By using the game, you agree to the practices described below.
We do not collect any personal data ourselves. FiDo-5 has no accounts, no sign-in, no leaderboards and no analytics. The game sends nothing to us, and we operate no servers that receive information about you.
Your progress — coins, upgrades, missions, best scores and settings — is written to storage on your own device. In the Android app this uses the system's app preferences; in the browser version it uses local storage. It is not transmitted to us at any point.
Two third parties do receive information when you play the Android app, and both are Google: the advertising described below, and, if you have Android backup switched on, Google's own backup service. Neither is operated by us.
The Android app shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. There are two places they appear:
To select and deliver these advertisements, Google may automatically collect information such as your device's advertising identifier, device and app information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and signals about how advertisements are interacted with. This information is collected and processed by Google, not by us. We never see it. For full details of what Google collects and how it is used, see how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
The browser version of FiDo-5 at civildigital.co.uk shows no advertisements at all.
If you are in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, you will be asked for your choices about personalised advertising the first time the app requests an advertisement. Until you have answered, no advertisement is requested.
You can change or withdraw those choices at any time from inside the game: open Settings and choose Ad privacy choices. That reopens the same consent form and your new choice takes effect immediately.
If you do not consent to personalised advertising, you will still see advertisements, but they will be non-personalised — chosen from general context rather than from information about you.
You can also reset or delete your advertising identifier entirely through your device's own settings, under Privacy or Ads, and you can manage your Google-wide preferences at Google My Ad Center.
The Android app offers one optional purchase, Remove ads, which turns off the full-screen advertisement after a run. Rewarded videos remain available, because you choose to watch those.
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details. The app asks Google Play only whether the purchase has been made, and stores that answer on your device so the game knows to stop showing advertisements. Google's handling of your purchase is covered by Google's Privacy Policy.
Android offers an automatic backup service, and FiDo-5 takes part in it so that your progress can survive moving to a new phone. If backup is enabled on your device, your saved progress may be copied to your own Google account, where it is held under Google's terms rather than ours. We have no access to it.
You can turn this off for all apps, or for FiDo-5 specifically, in your device's backup settings.
We do not sell, rent or share personal information with anyone, because we do not hold any. The only third-party services present in the app are Google AdMob for advertising, Google Play for the optional purchase, and Android's backup service — each described above, and each governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Your progress stays on your device for as long as the app is installed. You can erase it at any time from inside the game — Settings → Erase all progress — or by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling it. Uninstalling also removes the record of any purchase from the device, though your entitlement remains with your Google account and is restored if you reinstall.
Because we hold no personal data on any server of ours, there is nothing for us to delete on request and no facility for us to do so. For data held by Google in connection with advertising, backup or your purchase, please use Google's own privacy controls.
FiDo-5 is not directed at children. It is rated for teenage players and above, it is declared to Google as not being child-directed, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will help you address it with the relevant service.
Under UK and EU data protection law you have rights of access, correction, erasure and objection over personal data held about you. As we hold none, those rights are exercised directly with Google in respect of the advertising, purchase and backup services described above. If you are unsure where to start, contact us and we will point you to the right control.
Because your progress stays on your device and is never sent to us, there is no exposure to network risk from our side. The security of data held on your device is governed by your device's own operating system and settings.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
